New Klippel NFS optimized version!
Building on the ongoing success of our remarkable LX and Sierra-2EX speakers, we set out to deliver similar extraordinary performance in a beautifully designed, surprisingly compact cabinet.
This innovative model features your choice of a custom RAAL true ribbon tweeter or our exceptional Titan dome, paired with an exclusive 4.5" fully custom-designed woofer. All of this is housed in our signature low-resonance, layered bamboo cabinet for a stunning combination of form and function.

Luna Development
Our new V2 version has been fully optimized using advanced 360-degree Klippel NFS measurements. These optimizations provide significant overall performance improvements, specifically in the area of reducing/eliminating port resonance, enhancing and improving overall directivity, and providing more accurate tonality.
With the tremendous success and overwhelmingly positive customer feedback for our LX and Sierra-2EX speakers, we embarked on an ambitious journey: to deliver similar performance in a much smaller, more placement-friendly speaker.
It was an easy choice to include the custom RAAL ribbon tweeter from our Sierra-2EX or the Titan dome tweeter from our LX, but achieving comparable dynamics and performance from a significantly smaller woofer proved to be a formidable challenge. Our goal was simple, yet no existing design met our rigorous standards—at least, not yet.
As woofer size decreases, design complexity increases exponentially. We developed more prototypes for this woofer than for any other transducer we’ve ever created. After over a year of painstaking refinement—and just when we thought a different approach might be necessary—we achieved success.
Paired with an advanced NFS-optimized crossover and housed in a meticulously designed layered bamboo cabinet, crafted using advanced FEA and 3D CAD technologies, these speakers are as visually striking as they are acoustically impressive.
The Luna boasts exceptionally wide and linear horizontal dispersion, creating a shockingly large, immersive soundstage—even in spacious rooms. Its performance defies its compact size, with listeners at public auditions frequently exclaiming, “These speakers sound so much bigger than they look!”
Hand-assembled, tested, and packaged in the USA, the Luna is backed by our comprehensive 7-year parts and labor warranty. Each left/right pair is hand-matched to within ±1.5dB, and we include a printout of the actual production line response measurements for each speaker.
This level of quality control, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship is simply unmatched by products fully manufactured and tested overseas.
A word of caution: once you experience the breathtaking performance of RAAL true ribbon tweeters, there’s no turning back.
Thank you for your interest, and welcome to the future of compact, high-performance audio.

* The below anechoic measurements are high-resolution full-range 360-degree scans taken with our Klippel Near Field Scanner. A minimum of 800 individual measurements are taken to generate these advanced measurements, typically requiring a minimum of 6 hours. These are unsmoothed and fully conform to CEA/CTA-2034 standards.
These measurements are as accurate as is currently technically possible.
Due to the costs, space requirements and complexity, very few manufacturers own or have access to a Klippel NFS, nor would they ever publish such detailed data on their products. Ascend Acoustics is and always has dared to be different.

*Note: Our exclusive Off-Axis Estimated In-Room Response measurement is a critical performance metric. It is an accurate comparison of the differences a listener should expect to hear sitting at different off-axis angles from the speaker; on-axis, +/- 10 degrees horizontally, +/- 20 degrees horizontally and +/- 30 degrees horizontally.
This is a modern and more accurate prediction of in-room speaker performance at different listening angles compared to a simple off-axis measurement graph. This measurement graph accounts for both direct sound and indirect sound and requires thousands of individual off-axis measurements that are then processed through complex algorithms to derive the results. In comparison, an off-axis measurement is just a single response measurement that does not account for the actual directivity of the speaker and is not representative of what we actually hear.
This measurement clearly shows the remarkable off-axis response of the Ribbon LunaV2. There is less than 1/4dB of deviation between the different off-axis positions and this is based on accepted science determining what the listener will hear from this speaker in a typical listening environment.

The Luna’s versatility is truly unmatched. When crossed at 80Hz and paired with a subwoofer, they deliver outstanding performance as mains, sounding nearly identical to our Sierra-2EXv2 or LX, depending on your chosen tweeter option. The Luna is equally at home as a high-performance desktop or nearfield speaker, mains in a small room, or as surrounds complementing any of our larger Sierra series speakers as fronts. With its integrated mounting hardware, the Luna also excels as an on-wall speaker.
The Luna combines extraordinary dynamics, realism, spaciousness, transparency, and detail, all with such finesse and refinement that there’s never a hint of harshness. While its bass output is naturally limited by its size, it’s remarkably impressive and fully capable of running full range. Whether for music or home theater, the Luna delivers a more lifelike and emotionally engaging experience.
A word of caution: once you experience the breathtaking performance of these true ribbon tweeters, there’s no turning back.
